Mr. James Snell, III
Jim Snell graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1979
and began his teaching career at Sylvania Elementary School in
Screven County. He earned his Education Specialist Degree in School
Administration from Georgia Southern in 1988. Mr. Snell served as
principal of Adrian Elementary School and Swainsboro Middle School in
Emanuel County from 1986 to 1990. He moved to Cobb County with his
family in 1990 and has served as principal at both Hollydale Elementary
School and Floyd Middle School. He was appointed to serve as principal
at Dodgen Middle School in 2001. He and his wife Diane have been
married for twenty-five years. They have a son, Samuel, who is in
college. The Snell family attends Mt. Bethel United Methodist
Church. Mr. Snell has stated that he is particularly excited to be
serving as principal at Dodgen since he and his family are already so
much a part of the East Cobb community.
