The Transitional Learning Center (TLC) is non-traditional closed campus middle and high program designed for students who have been suspended from their home schools for less than thirty days.

Any Cobb County middle or high school student who has been suspended from school six days or more may attend TLC in order to make-up work for credit.  Students attend TLC beginning on the second day of suspension. The maximum number of days a student may serve at TLC in a given school year is thirty days. 

Students who attend TLC will follow all Cobb County Board of Education  policies and  regulations.  Failure to do so may result in the student losing the opportunity to attend TLC.  Also, students may receive additional days of suspension for infractions committed while attending TLC.

It is the parents’ responsibility to pick up their child’s assignments prior to registration at the TLC.
