2017 Summer Reading

Summer is an excellent time to encourage your child to read for enjoyment.

Reading over the summer can aid students in their efforts to maintain academic gains made during the school year as well as score higher on achievement tests.  Another key element to reading is that students will see success in all their academic areas.

When students return to school in August, they will complete response to literature activities on the appropriate grade level mandatory book. Activities may include discussions, written responses, book chats and/or roundtable sharing.
