Mentor Teachers
who have the
Teacher Support Specialist Endorsement

If you have the TSS Endorsement and wish to serve as a mentor to a beginning teacher at your school this year, this page offers resources and specific forms to support you.

1.  Ask your local school administration to match you with a beginning teacher with 0, 1, 2 or 3 years of teaching experience. 

2.  Complete the TSS Information Form, available here, and submit it to your school administration.

3.  Begin documenting your contact time and support activities on the TSS Mentor Log, available here.  The log indicates the specific dates of each of the three quarters and the deadlines for submitting the logs to the Professional Development Department. 


*For each quarter that you provide at least 15 hours of support to a beginning teacher, a stipend of $150 will be awarded to you at the end of the school year.
