2011 Title I Distinguished School
Tapp Middle School appreciates our
Teachers, Food Service Proffessionals and our School Nurse! May
7-11 is Teacher Appreciation Week, Food Service Professionals
Week, and School Nurse Week. Take a minute to thank these staff
members for their contribution to the education and well being
of our students.
Congratutions to Tapp's Vounteer of the
Year, Traci Edmonston. Mrs. Edmonston volunteers with numerous
events including Fine Arts programs, Renaissance, and PTSA
events. She also assists in Tapp's Front Office on a weekly
basis. We are very thankful for Mrs. Edmonston and our many
parent volunteers.

Tapp Middle School 2011-2012 Student Uniform Dress Code
Students Earn a Dress Down Day!
Beginning Friday,May 18th students may exchange gently used
uniforms for a ticket to dress down the last week of school.
Bring uniforms to the Auxiliary Dining Hall Friday morning
at 9:00 a.m. to earn your ticket. Only gently worn uniforms
will be accepted with no stains, holes or rips.
RISING 6TH GRADE IMMUNIZATION UPDATES NEEDED BEFORE
SCHOOL STARTS IN THE FALL. Start your children's middle school
years off right! Updated immunization certificates should be
given to your elementary school as soon as possible.
Immunizations should include 2 doses of Measles and Mumps
vaccine, 1 dose of Rubella vaccine, and 2 doses of Varicella
vaccine.
Parents, as the primary educator to your children, you are
encouraged to visit the Georgia Information and Resource
Center website. The site provides information and
resources that we hope you will find useful. The website
also provides valuable information about the federal No
Child Left Behind legislation and what it specifically means
to your child or children, the schools they are attending,
and the local school district.
