Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone, or tablet.. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous, self-reported, and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below.

English Flier    Spanish Flier

In the Cobb County School District, we believe that the internet can be a great resource and tool.

Many of our students use computers or mobile devices to play games, learn, and to explore the world around them. Please be sure to speak with your children about what they’re doing online. Let it be a natural part of your everyday conversation and show interest in what they may be experiencing as they explore the Internet.

While the Internet is full of useful material it also contains many pitfalls and dangers. Students may stumble across inappropriate or harmful content, they may experience online bullying, they might encounter predators, or even expose too much of their own personal life online.

The best way to protect your children online is to ensure an open and honest dialogue about their activities exists. Online safety is not just about reminding your children about the dangers that strangers present, but it’s about teaching your children to be wise and to practice safe online behavior.

 Dismissal Procedures:

Dismissal changes and checkouts must be completed by 1:45 p.m.

Varner Families,
Changing your child's transportation must be done in writing or faxed to the front office (770-222-3777).  Adding students to ASP can be done over the phone.  Emailing or using Class DOJO is not permitted.  All changes need to be made by 1:45 pm.  No check outs will be permitted after that time.
Thank you for following these procedures!!

Parents and/or guardians of 8 & under yellow tag students that do
not have permission to exit alone per the Safe Rider Form, must come to the bus door to receive their children.  We cannot have parents sitting in cars, out on their porches, or down the street in the distance waiting to receive them.  It is crucial that the bus driver and student(s) be able to clearly identify the adult ready to receive them at the bus stop.  If the parents and/or guardians do not come to the door for a clear identification, their 8 & under student(s) will be returned to the school upon completion of the route, and handed off to a staff member.  This does not apply to any 8 & under students that have been given parental permission to exit alone.  Those students are marked with a “black dot” on both sides of the yellow tag.

The Cobb County School District is offering the community an opportunity to review learning resources being recommended for use in 3 - 12 English Language Arts and K – 12 ESOL.
