Leslie Watt
Ford's Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Leslie Watt, Ford's Teacher of
the Year for the 2008-2009 school year. Mrs. Watt is an EIP
teacher at Ford and is beloved by students and staff. She is a wonderful
example of the fine teachers here at Ford. Way to go Mrs. Watt! |

Ms. Sonjia Chiprany was elected by her
peers as an example of the excellent support we receive from
our classified professionals throughout the year. Ms.
Chiprany works as the media center clerk and serves not only
our students here at Ford, but teachers and parents as well.

Amy Soto is a Class Act at Ford!

11 Alive's Donna
Lowry featured Mrs. Amy Soto on her Class Act feature Monday, April 21.
Mrs. Soto was selected from several candidates and was nominated
overwhelmingly by the parents of students in her class. A link to
her interview will be forthcoming.

Immunization
Rules for 6th Grade Students
All children entering
6th grade on or after July 1, 2007 are required to meet the following
new requirements:
|
1. Have two doses of
measles vaccine, two doses of mumps vaccine and one
dose of rubella vaccine or laboratory proof of
immunity against measles, mumps or rubella |
| 2. Have two doses of
varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or documentation of disease
or laboratory proof of immunity. At the time your
child entered school only one dose of this vaccine was
required. |
| 3. Contact your health
care provide to receive any needed vaccinations and to
obtain the Georgia Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231).
