Nutrition Tips
* Eating foods that naturally contain fiber such as grains, cereals, fruits, and vegetables, is the best and safest way to increase fiber in your diet.
* Eating a healthy breakfast provides your body with many important nutrients.
* A quick and easy breakfast idea is Peanut Butter on whole wheat toast with sliced bananas or toaster waffles topped with yogurt and fruit.
* Physical activity is one of the best things you can do to stay fit, healthy, and feeling great!

*For qualifying students. Applications for free and reduced priced lunches are available from the Frey Café Manager.
Payment Options
1. Pay online at
www.MealpayPlus.com.
Register using your child’s student ID# which you can obtain through the school
office or Frey Café.
*** Mealpay charges a $2.00 fee per transaction but you can pay up
to $200 per transaction and divide it between all children in your account.
2. Pay by check or cash for the day, week, month, or year.
*** All monies should be in an envelope and labeled with child's
first and last names, teacher's name, grade, and "Lunch Money". Please write
your child's legal name along with nicknames, i.e. John "Conner" Smith. Our
accounting records usually do not include nicknames.
*** Unlike cash, checks are easily traced if lost or posted to the
wrong account.
*** Weekly or monthly payments save us time, as well as the
children and their teachers, which allows the hectic lunch schedule to run
smoothly.
***Students must put their lunch money in the beige drop box inside the
cafeteria first thing in the morning.
Students without lunch money after the third charge will be served a peanut butter sandwich and milk only. Please be sure to keep funds in your child's lunch account to avoid receiving this meal. Register on www.MealpayPlus.com and keep track of your child's account balance.

*** Note: Students may use their accounts to
buy extras from our A-La-Carte Menu. If you permit your child to buy
extras, please discuss your limitations with your child. You may request that
your child's account not be used for extras by sending a note to Mark Sellars,
Frey Cafe' Manager. Students who have "no extras" on their account
may still buy
A-La-Carte items by bringing cash.
*** If your child picks up an extra entree, side item, or dessert we will
have to charge them for that item because it will have to be discarded if we
remove it from his/her tray.
*** If your child comes to lunch with cash that is not in an envelope
labeled "Lunch Only," we will have to assume that extra purchases are allowed
with this money.
Field Trip Lunches
*** Sack Lunches may be purchased for Field Trips through Frey Café.
The lunches typically include a peanut butter and apple jelly sandwich*,
mozzarella cheese stick, 2 fruits or veggies, dessert, and milk choice. *Cheese
sandwich or yogurt may be substituted upon request for students with peanut
allergy.
*** If classes going on field trips are leaving after 10:00 am or
returning before 1:00 pm, they may arrange to have a regular lunch served before
or after the field trip.
*** Your teacher should let you know which lunch is planned for
his/her students. Please let your teacher know in advance if you will need a
sack lunch for your class field trip.
*** Students may purchase the following A-La-Cart items for Field Trips:
Gatorade, Rip Tide Flavored Water, Dasani Water, or Extra Milk. They must
be allowed to use their accounts for extras or cash must be sent in that morning
in a labeled envelope.
Early Release Day Lunches
The regular menu will be served with the lunch schedule starting 45 minutes early (starting at 10:00 a.m.)
In the operation of the child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin, age or handicap. If you believe you have been discriminated against, write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington DC 20250.
