Every month the principal announces a new book to be read to the entire school. After reading the book, the students discuss the elements of the book, make connections, and write responses . Then the teachers display the responses outside of the classroom to be enjoyed by everyone. This is an initiative to expose students to various genres and authors, and increase their interest in reading.
