Dr. Patricia Thomas

I am a native Cobb County resident. I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia State, my masters from Kennesaw State, my specialist from University of Georgia and my EDD program from Samford University in Birmingham. I have been in education for 23 years. I've taught second, third and special ed. classes and served as Learner Support Strategist. This is my tenth year as principal of Sedalia Park.

I have three wonderful children who all attended Sedalia Park and graduated from Wheeler before graduating from different colleges. My husband and I live in this community which strengthens my commitment to ensuring that Sedalia Park remains a school of excellence.

Pedro Cos

Hello, my name is Pedro Lázaro Cos and I will be serving as your new assistant principal. I would like to send a warm greeting to Sedalia Park Elementary parents and community. It is indeed a pleasure to be working in concert with such a dynamic and committed group of educators here at the Park. Our main focus is to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students and make a positive impact on their lives while continuing to strive for academic excellence.

Originally from Havana, Cuba, I am currently entering my 22nd year as an educator. My previous teaching experience has been as a music specialist in New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta Public Schools, and Cobb County Schools. I earned my Bachelors degree from Queens College in N.Y. and my Masters degree from Georgia State University. I am presently pursuing a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. My family and I reside in Marietta.
Together, as a professional learning community, we will fulfill our new theme:
“One hand, One Heart, One Destiny!”
