Kindergarten Registration

Date and times to register your child:

Registration for all students entering a Cobb County kindergarten or first grade class for the first time in 2008-2009 will be at the local school on April 2nd, between 8:30AM and 11:00AM.

Age requirements to register your child:

***Kindergarten students must be five years old
on or before September, 1st.

***First grade students must be six years old
on or before September, 1st.

Documents you MUST HAVE to register your child:

*Certificate of Immunizations (Form 3231)

*Hearing, Vision and Dental form (Form 3300),
which can not be dated any earlier than
August 11, 2007

(ABOVE AVAILABLE FROM PHYSICIAN OR COBB COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT)

*Certified Birth Certificate (not a hospital certificate) from the State Bureau of Vital Statistics

*Social Security Card (optional)

*Two proofs of residency in school attendance zone

Children will not be placed in a classroom until all of the above documents are received!

*Also needed are the names and phone numbers of persons who may pick up your child if you cannot be reached and the name and phone number of your child's doctor.

Kindergarten Screening:

Kindergarten screening will be from 8:00AM to 12:00AM on April 21st through April 25th. Be sure to sign up for a date and time at registration.

If you would like to bring your child to be screened on registration day, April 2nd, there are a limited number of times available. Please email Kathy Barela, Kathy.Barela@cobbk12.org, and she will assign you a time between 8:30AM and 11:00AM, based on availability.
