Japanese Author's Tea

In Mrs. Hicks', Mrs. Heflin's, and Mrs. Largent's class this year, there was a wonderfully fun Japanese Author's Tea. The second grade students wrote non-fiction chapter books about Japan as an end of the unit project. Each student shared their favorite chapter at the tea with their book buddies. They had prepared special treats from the Japanese culture for their guests to enjoy as we celebrated our culminating projects for writing and social studies.
