We are pleased to announce that Vaughan Elementary
School is the recipient of the 2007 Single Statewide
Accountability System (SSAS) award presented by the
Governor's Office of Student Achievement. The hard work
of the students, faculty, and community has earned our
school the Silver Award for outstanding student
achievement. Schools receiving this award must make
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), demonstrate that at
least 25% of students exceed standards as measured by
the state assessment (CRCT); and demonstrate that at
least 96% of students meet or exceed standards as
measured by state assessments.
It takes a
collaborative effort of teachers, principals, and
parents working with students to reap this level of
success. This is the third year that Vaughan has
received an academic achievement award from the state.
Thank you for all that you do for Vaughan Elementary
Students to ensure our continued success.
