Be True To Yourself
It’s nice to be liked by others
| To
have a friend to call sister or brother |
| But
you must remember that your purpose is not to please |
| Or
to become what others wish you to be |
But…to be true to yourself |
| For
when the lights are out, and all is quiet and still |
| You
will be the only person with whom you’ll have to live |
There’s no greater gift, than the gift of self |
| So
be true to it because in the end |
| Self
is all you’ll have left |

Because of You
When you don’t think they love you…they do
When
they roll their eyes and pretend they’re not
listening…they are |
When
you pray that they’ll do the right thing…they will |
When
they say, “I hate you!”…they might |
But not for long |
| For
soon they understand that because of you…they do |
| Because
of you…they are |
Because
of you…they will |
Because
of you…they can |
