Established in 1996 and bearing the name of State Representative John "Jack" Dixon Vaughan, Jr., this institution has taken on its namesake's strong commitment to education, mirroring his aspirations for excellence in learning among young Cobb County students.

Our vision at Vaughan Elementary School is to work together collaboratively with teachers, parents, students, and the community, embracing all differences and combining our strengths, to help the students reach their maximum learning potential.

Our mission at Vaughan Elementary School is to work as a community to meet the diverse learning needs of students in order to prepare them for success in a global economy.
