Music
Mrs. Nancy Moffitt, Music Teacher
Our Vision
An environment where each individual is accepted, supported,
valued, and challenged to become more.
In music class at Addison, students take part
in a variety of activities including singing, moving, playing
instruments, and music composition. These activities are designed
to help your child develop musical skills and knowledge and to
appreciate many different styles of music.
At Addison students enjoy learning music by
playing the following instruments: keyboard, baritone ukulele,
recorder, Orff percussion, and rhythm band instruments.
Varied musical activities will provide your
child with an understanding of cultural and historical heritage. In
addition, your child will see connections between music and other
subject areas. Music also develops creativity and problem-solving
skills.
