Dear Parents,

Thank you all for supporting our Making Connections Night last Thursday!  We had over 400 parents attend and you all were sending a loud and clear message that you care about your child’s education.  The teachers worked so hard to put together their presentation and they all thought it was well worth their time because so many of the parents were able to attend.

If you were unable to attend or just need a reminder of the information provided, please visit our website at www.cobbk12.org.  Click on elementary schools on the left of the screen, then click on Austell Intermediate School, then click on Making Connections, and finally click on your child’s grade level and you are in business!

Helpful tips for parents to continue to support their child at home to further prepare them to take the CRCT. 

1. Print off a copy of the curricular map for the third nine weeks
2. Review information and have a conversation with your child regarding the standards
3. Pre-teach standards to students so when they come to school, they will bring some background knowledge which will build your child’s confidence
4. If you have any questions regarding the standards, do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher

Following the four steps will further develop your child confidence in the classroom with will yield improved results.  We need to work together to provide our children with every advantage so the can meet and exceed standards on the CRCT.  It is such an honor serving your children on a daily basis, and I appreciate your continued support!
