Howard B. Wigglebottom: Learns to Listen
April 1, 2008
Dear Students,
The title of the book that I have chosen to
be April’s Book of the Month is Howard B. Wigglebottom: Learns to
Listen. It’s about a rabbit by the name of Howard B.
Wigglebottom who stays in trouble because he does not listen when
other people are talking to him. After Howard had to sit in time-out
for a while, he decided that he would practice being a good listener
so that he would stay out of trouble.
My favorite part of the story is when
Howard sadly sat in time-out thinking about his day and how lonely
it is being in trouble. Then, he made up his mind to try to become a
good listener.
I like this book because the message is
meaningful (It is important to be a good listener). Also the
illustrations are very colorful and beautifully done. The pictures
help to emphasize the message.
I hope you enjoy
reading Howard B. Wigglebottom: Learns to Listen.
It is important to practice good listening skills.
Love,
Mrs. Betty Jo Jackson
