Dear Students,

Stella: Princess of the Sky is the name of the November Book of the Month. The story is enjoyable. It is about two children Stella and Sam who appear to be amused by the natural wonders of the world. Sam is Stella’s little brother who has lots of questions. Stella is Sam’s big sister who seems to have an answer to all of Sam’s questions.

I have chosen two parts of this story as my favorite parts. One part is when Sam saw the family of raccoons and he asked Stella, “Why are they wearing masks?” “Are they robbers?” Stella’s reply was, “No, they’re going to a costume party.” I had to giggle when I read those words. The other part is when Stella told Sam that she learned all about stars from her grandma and she thinks of her grandma whenever she sees stars. That was very affectionate.

I like Stella: Princess of the Sky for several reasons: The pictures are terrific. They are also colorful and humorous. Several lines in the story made me smile. Finally, there were many questions that had some witty answers.

Love,
Mrs. Betty Jo Jackson
