 Austell Primary Media Center

HOURS

The Media Center is open to students, parents, and staff members for circulation, reading, computer use etc. from 7:15 A.M. until 2:45 P.M.  Students not accompanied by a teacher need a signed pass to use the Media Center during school hours.

As per Georgia State Standards, the media center uses flexible scheduling. This means that the media center is open for parents, teachers, and students throughout the school day. Individual students may use the media center before school with no pass or in small groups during school hours with a media pass. Whole class or large groups must be pre-scheduled with the media specialist after collaborative planning. There are only four unescorted students per class allowed in the media center at one time. Media activities include, but are not limited to leisure reading, check out, audiovisual production, online research, and information literacy training.
