Barber Middle School joins the Acworth Police Force in “Covering the Bases”

Barber Middle School joins the Acworth Police Force in “Covering the Bases” for the Special Needs Field at Kennworth Park. Barber Middle School raised over $850 in one week of fundraising for the Special Needs field. On Friday the Acworth Police Force came to Barber Middle School and ate lunch with our students while the teachers enjoyed a duty-free BBQ lunch as a fundraiser.

The Acworth Police Department will set up a baseball diamond at the complex on the site of the future special-needs baseball field. And starting at 5 p.m. May 9, they'll make sure someone is running the bases for 24 hours straight.  Anyone can participate. Participants will collect pledges for the time they run the bases.
For more information, call the Acworth Police Department at (770) 974-1232.

Barber Middle School will also have a Dessert buffet following the 8th Grade Musical taking place this Friday and Saturday May 9th and 10th at 7:00. The Buffet is $4 and half the profits raised will go to the "Covering the Bases" fund and the other half will go to the Girls Leadership group. Please stop by this weekend and show your support.
