| Ask an adult to help you read the Emancipation Proclamation by using the web site listed above. How would you feel if you were a slave living in 1862? A slave owner? The President? Answer additional questions at this site and discuss with an adult. |
Conclusion:
| Abraham Lincoln was a famous person in the history of the United States. He is remembered for working to free the slaves and save the union of states. Reading about the lives of great people is interesting and allows you to remember those who worked to make the world a better place to live. |
