Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the United States of America. This book is a picture book biography of Mr. Lincoln's life. You will learn about Mr. Lincoln and the United States during the 1800's.

Task:

Using the Internet, you will learn about Abraham Lincoln and understand some events that were happening in our country during his presidency.

3. Try the Treasure Hunt to learn more about Abraham Lincoln.
4. Think of a question you would like to ask Abraham Lincoln. Go to the Ask a Question site and type in your question. What answer did you receive?

Evaluation:

Ask an adult to help you read the Emancipation Proclamation by using the web site listed above. How would you feel if you were a slave living in 1862? A slave owner? The President? Answer additional questions at this site and discuss with an adult.

Conclusion:

Abraham Lincoln was a famous person in the history of the United States. He is remembered for working to free the slaves and save the union of states. Reading about the lives of great people is interesting and allows you to remember those who worked to make the world a better place to live.
