| New student registration is conducted
throughout the school year during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00
a.m. daily. During the summer and at the beginning of the
school year, please check with the School Counseling Office at
678-842-6853 ext. 2 or on the front page of our website for
the hours of new student registration; this schedule is based on the
availability of counselors and staff for registration. Those
students who are registering for the start of the school year should
make every effort to do so prior to the start of the school year.
Please understand that the length of the registration process is dependent on the number of students attempting to register and if all parties have the necessary paperwork in order. Based on this, we are unable to determine your wait time; however, we will continue registering all parties who arrive prior to the cut off time for registration. By utilizing this system versus appointment times, we are able to register more students in fewer days which results in less instructional time being lost. Please plan to allow for ample time for registration. We appreciate your patience during this process. I. In order to register, you must have the following:
If the residence is in the name of a party other than the parent/guardian, he/she must be present for registration as well as the parent/guardian. (Please ask for the statement of legal residence form that must be signed by both parties and notarized.)
II. To expedite the registration process, the following items are recommended:
When you have all items in section number one (I) and the transcript or no records form in section number two (II), you will be given a number for registration.
Grade placement is based upon number of
credits at the beginning of the current school year. Once
credits have been converted to our system, the student must have
5 credits for 10th grade, 12 for 11th, and
18 for 12th.
