Local School Council

As mandated by state law, every public school must have a school council composed of educators, parents and members of the business community to be a part of the school improvement process.

The advisory group includes parents, teachers, business representatives and the principal. Council members meet regularly to study different school issues. Also, the council may offer recommendations to the principal, the Cobb Board of Education and the Superintendent about ways to improve student achievement at their school for all students. Although this is a challenging and complex process, it is a rewarding endeavor for all involved.

·         The school council meetings are open meetings and anyone is welcome to attend

·         The representatives listed below are the voting members of the school council

·         All meetings are held in the Media Center Conference Room at 7:30 AM. 

This year’s school council will meet on the following dates: November 14, 2007, December 12, 2007, January 16, 2007, February 13, March 12, April 16, and May 14, 2008.
