SCHOLARS PROGRAM

This program is designed for those students who desire a more rigorous academic challenge. The criteria for participation are prior grades, standardized test scores, teacher recommendation, and more importantly, the students desire to work at a higher level.

Smaller Class Size Rigorous, Academic Climate More Individualized Learning Opportunities Faster Academic Pace Better Prepared for Admission into Select High Schools Increased Frequency of Science Labs Increased Opportunities to Concentrate on Writing Assignments Additional Field Trips and Group Assignments	We expect all students and parents to agree to the following expectations: Good Attendance Good Classroom Behavior Good Classroom Participation All Homework and Projects Turned In On Time 80% Average or Better On Test and Assignments Removal From These Classes If Guidelines Are Not Followed A Signed, Dated Contract By Both The Student and Parent	Advanced Literacy Advanced Reading Algebra 7th &8th Geometry 8th Grade Advanced Science Accelerated & Hyper-Accelerated Math French 7th & 8th Spanish 7th & 8th
