School Council Campbell Middle School | Recognition Program RENAISSANCE
At Campbell Middle School, Renaissance encourages students to focus on the value of learning and rewards them for their achievements. Presently, there are over 10,000 Renaissance schools in America. The Renaissance Program began at Campbell Middle School in 1997. Through this program, we take a business approach to improve academic performance based on the theory of what gets rewarded, gets accomplished! Renaissance is about business and education becoming one. The Renaissance Recognition Program is a collaborative effort to bring academic achievement and positive behavior to the forefront of Campbell Middle School. Our partnerships bring ideas and people together to find ways for students to experience the true joys of learning.. Our Renaissance will be realized through taking that
"business" approach to academics. Business and our free market
system have proven to the world what happens if you motivate people properly --
they perform and take great pride in the development of their skills.
Business principles of reward and recognition, teamwork, quality, leadership,
and marketing, when applied to education, can have a tremendous impact on
achievement of the goal of academic excellence. To attain this goal, we
implement the following changes and strategies:
2. Develop a system of academic performance-based rewards and incentives for students, 3. The reward structure should be "visible," "tangible," and "walk-aroundable." 4. Establish partnerships with local business, civic organizations, and other community groups. "Education becomes everybody's business." Today, a crisis exists in education and Campbell Middle School is doing something about it. Become a partner today and play a part in our journey to excellence. Each quarter, students can make Renaissance through one of the following three ways. Renaissance Requirements: Gold Card - Principal's Honor Roll Silver Card - Campbell Honor Roll Platimun Card - Hall of Fame Honor Roll Academic Requirement: Rewarded only at the end of the school year, this recognition is for students who were all "A" and "Satisfactory" in conduct all year long.
