q Bookbag which must fit in locker (i.e. none with wheels) q Ruler w/standard and metric measurements q Large zippered pencil case (one with 3 holes can be carried easily in binders but can be taken out when needed for other classes)

q Colored pencils or THIN magic markers q #2 Pencils (as many as you can bring) q Highlighters for several classes q Hand-held pencil sharpener with shaving holder (not motorized) q Black or blue erasable pen (the kind that doesn’t click) v Please do not send any gel pens or non-erasable pens!!! q Two or more large gluesticks q Safety scissors q Paperback book to read during the first week (carried to each class) q Book covers (optional)
q 3 separate spiral notebooks (150 pages each) – 1 for each class below

q 1 zip-up 3-ring binder with expandable file in front (for LA, math, science, & success) q 5 tab divider set for language arts section q 3 tab divider set for math section q Loose leaf paper r 150 page spiral notebook for social studies (sturdy, such as plastic covers, last longer)

The following list suggests the basic supplies that each 8th grade student should have. ð 1½-2 inch three ring binder for each academic class ð dividers (five/pack) for each academic class ð (2) five subject spiral notebooks (for Reading and Math) ð (2) composition notebooks (for LA and Science) ð blue/black ink pens* ð #2 pencils* ð red ink pen ð highlighters ð colored pencils ð markers ð 2 pocket folders with prongs ð loose-leaf notebook paper (several packages; 1 for homeroom teacher) ð tissue boxes (2 for homeroom teacher)
*Assignments will only be accepted if they are completed in pencil or blue/black ink pen.
