You will have "GRRReat" fun working on these activities at home that will reinforce the things we are learning at school during our Bear Unit. These sites are filled with games, activities, and projects that will provide you with hours of "beary" fun times.
The
Story of the Teddy Bear - Have mom or dad read the history of the teddy
bear to you. What did President Theodore Roosevelt have to do with
teddy bears? When and where was the first teddy bear made and how
did it get its name?
Write
to Barney - Send a birthday card to Barney for his 6th birthday.
Go to this site to choose a postcard picture, the color of the words and
background, and then write a "beary" special birthday message to our favorite
class bear. Send your e-mail to Kindermom2@teacher.com.
Your
Favorite Teddy Bear - After you choose your favorite teddy bear and
bring it to school for Barney's birthday party, go to this web site and
work on the activities in this Webquest. You will have lots of fun
completing activities about your "beary" special friend.

Teddy Bear Museum
- This museum allows you to
browse through the galleries and look
at a selection of pre 1960's English bears. You
can even have your favorite bears displayed
in a gallery within the museum. All you have
to do is e-mail photographs and details
of your bears to the museum.

Stan and Jan Berenstain -
Welcome to Bear Country to play games, watch movies and work on activities
about our favorite bear family. Choose your favorite Berenstain bear
and write that bear an e-mail. Ask mom or dad to read you more books
by Stan and Jan Berenstain.
