Student completed the Sentence Stems on the Bourbon Triumvirate, which was started in class on Friday at the start of class today.  We then took time as a class to share the sentences that were written.

We then worked on Jim Crow's Timeline as a class.  Though we did not complete the entire timeline (we have not studied all of the material at this point), students were able to use what they already knew to make educated guesses at the blanks on the sheet.

At the end of class, students viewed a short
Video Clip on the Leo Frank Case.

Today, class began with a discussion of the International and Cotton States Exhibition.  Following that discussion, students were asked to identify three important Georgians during the "New South" era:
   Henry Grady
   Rebecca Latimer Felton
   Leo Frank
Students had to find out who each person was and how each was important to the history of Georgia.  We then discussed each person as a class.

Lastly, students were given the Review Sheet for Friday's Quiz.  The review sheet outlines all of the questions that could be asked on the upcoming Reconstruction/New South quiz.

We began class today with a discussion of early African American leaders during the New South era.

Students then grouped up to gather information on Political Groups During the Late 1800s.

We began class by completing the Jim Crow Timeline that was started on Monday.

The remainder of class was spent playing Jeopardy to review for the quiz tomorrow.

Classes viewed a PowerPoint on Georgia Musicians for the first half of class today.  Students listened to Georgia artists and then attempted to identify them.  The group that was lucky enough to get the most answers correct was rewarded with bonus points.

The groups spent the last part of the hour completing a quiz on Reconstruction and the New South.
