Today in class, we went over the quiz from Friday.  Students were able to review their answers and grade their own work.

Students were then given brief weekly quiz to check up on their What's Going on in Social Studies sheets.

Students were then given a set of Tombstones for Early African American Leaders.  Time was given for students to begin researching the leaders and writing their epitaphs.

Today, class began with a discussion of important companies in the past and present Georgia economies.  We then did a reading from the textbook on the origin and development of the Coca-Cola Company.  This was wrapped up with a short Video Clip on Coca-Cola.

The remainder of class was spent continuing to work on the Tombstones for Early African American Leaders.

Class began with a discussion of two issues that negatively impacted Georgia farmers during the 1920s.  Students were then given back some of their graded assignments.

We then journeyed to the computer lab to do some research on important Georgia companies.  Students began completing a Research Sheet on Georgia Companies today, and they will complete the sheet tomorrow.

We discussed the Great depression shortly at the start of class today.

We then returned to the computer lab today to complete Research Sheet on Georgia Companies.

At the start of class, we held a discussion on the Model T and how it revolutionized life and industry in the United States.

Students were then given time to complete their Tombstones for Early African American Leaders as well as to make sure their Research Sheet on Georgia Companies was completed.  An open notes quiz was then given on Georgia's early African American Leaders and Georgia's most significant companies.

Following the quiz, students were given back a few grades and, if time remained, began a few Notes on the Causes of World War I.
