We began class today by grading the Open Notes Quiz from Friday.

After grading the quiz, students were introduced to the causes of World War I with some Guided Notes and a PowerPoint of cheesy illustrations.  For a completed version of the notes click Here.

The meeting with the counseling staff today regarding Walton registration somewhat threw off the daily routine of class.  However, we still managed to cover to some content surrounding the Progressives and the temperance movement.

Class began with a discussion of prohibition and the groups known for their support of the temperance movement.  Following our discussion, students viewed a video clip on the Progressive Era.  While watching the video, students answered Questions on the Progressives.

After wrapping up yesterday's discussion of the Progressive Era, students worked in groups to complete some Sentence Frames for Chapter 10

Class began with a discussion of the results of World War I and their impact on Germany.

Then, while students' placement forms for Walton were being completed, students used their Sentence Frames for Chapter 10 to answer some Questions on the Progressive Era.

After placements were returned, we discussed the Roaring '20s with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation.

Today in class, we finished the PowerPoint on City Life in the Twenties

Following the presentation, students used their textbooks and the content of the presentation to complete some Illustrations of Life in the Twenties
