Today in class, students finished their Illustrations of Life in the Twenties.  If a students wanted to share their work with their peers they were then given the opportunity to do so.

Students were then given a
Letter About Online Testing to help them prepare for the CRCTs.  Students should now be able to go to www.georgiaoas.org to take practice tests for bonus.
 
Today, we had a discussion of the causes of the Great Depression.  Students were given a job they might have had in the '20s and then went through a simulation of the job market's collapse in the '30s.  While the discussion went on, students completed some Guided Notes on the Great Depression.

After or discussion, students began watching a video that overviewed the Great Depression's causes, events, and resolution.  Students answered a few questions while watching the video.
 

Class began with the completion of the video on the Great Depression from yesterday. 

Following the video, students were given an assignment titled The New Deal Dinner Table.  This assignment will be completed over the next two days and then performed in class on Monday.  Students were able to look over what the assignment entailed and then plan their groups for completing the project.
