Each August a new WESE cast & crew are selected. While I wish that it were possible to include every fifth grader, we only have room for 44 students. Two teams of 22 students each are selected. Team A and Team B rotate approximately every 6 weeks. Each team consists of 2 anchors, 2 puppeteers, 3 technicians, 3 cameramen, 4 skit players, 2 reporters, 3 writers, and 3 Information Channel staffers.
All WESE activities take place during the school day. Most practices and other events will be during fifth grade recess, but occasionally some jobs require that students leave class (for example, in order to tape special school events or grade level activities). If this is the case, Ms. Alexander will make arrangements with the classroom teacher.

WESE is a fifth grade privilege -- and lots of fun, too.
