Our Beliefs

WE BELIEVE…

All students can learn and be successful.

Students, staff, parents, and community members can be motivated and must be challenged to become life-long learners with the ability to explore creative future possibilities, utilize a wide variety of resources, and engage in responsible decision-making.

It is the responsibility of all citizens in our democratic society to support the education of all children through philosophical commitment that ensures adequate funding, personnel, facilities, leadership, and resources.

Individual differences exist in learning styles, and each child has the right to learn in a manner that brings him/her success.

Every person has the right to a safe, positive learning environment.

Every student has social, emotional, physical, academic and developmental needs that must be addressed.

Teachers must demonstrate enthusiasm for and knowledge of their subject matter.

As life-long learners, students, staff, parents, and community members must mutually recognize and respect the rights and differences of culture, ideas, feelings, and abilities.

Students, staff, parents, and community members will work cooperatively, giving each other guidance and support.

A variety of meaningful, on-going assessment techniques is necessary to reflect student strengths and weaknesses.

Learning, as a continuous process, must be relevant, innovative, progressive, enjoyable, and interactive.

School-wide planning and shared decision making are necessary to help all students and staff reach their full potential and to provide optimal educational opportunities.
