TEST SCORES

In Spring 2001, the Stanford Achievement Test (Stanford 9) was administered for the first time to students in grades second through eighth. Students are tested in the areas of reading, language, mathematics, science, social studies, listening, spelling, using information, and thinking skills.

The Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) is a state-developed, curriculum-based assessment that measures how well students are learning the Georgia Revised Quality Core Curriculum. Testing is done in three areas: reading, English/language arts, and mathematics. In Spring 2001, only fourth, sixth, and eighth grade students were administered the CRCT, but beginning in Spring 2002, all students in first through eighth grades will take the test. Scores are reported in a range of 150 to 450.
