Dear Fair Oaks Families,
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. I am thrilled to be the principal at
Fair Oaks Elementary School and to partner with a fabulous assistant principal,
Teressa Watson. The staff at our school is professional and dedicated and I am
honored to work with them.
This will be an exciting year for all of us in the Fair Oaks community. We
will be reaching out to one another and up to exceed expectations. Each day will
be filled with meaningful learning opportunities to help all of our students
grow in their knowledge of reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.
Please remember that our school day begins at 7:50. If your child eats
breakfast at school they must arrive before 7:40. Children learn best when they
have a calm start to their day, eat a good breakfast, and arrive in their
classroom on time. We will all work together to make each day begin in a
positive way.
I would like to share two of my favorite quotes that guide my leadership each
day. The first from Martin Luther King, Jr., He said "Intelligence is not
enough. Intelligence plus character – that is the true goal of education." And
from Ann Frank, "How wonderful it is that no one need wait a single moment to
start improving the world." We will make the most of each day at Fair Oaks
Elementary School developing our students to be strong academic students as well
as people with good character.
Mrs. Watson and I look forward to getting to know all of you during this
school year.
