Welcome to 4th grade! We have a great 4th grade staff here at Frey Elementary School! We are: Dina Asher, Cheri Dettwiler,Ann Driver, Sharon Fuss, Melissa Hacker, Gary Jordan, and Lisa Miller. Together we have more than 25 years of teaching experience!
Fourth grade is an important year for you and your child. It is a transition year as it marks the beginning of the intermediate grades and the end of the primary grades. We place additional emphasis on building responsibility and practicing self-control as we want to prepare your child for the 5th grade and ultimately, middle school.
Our focus this year is reading and writing. This parallels Frey's Focus on writing as well. We all ask that your children read daily. Set aside a time for reading so that it is enjoyable and not a chore! Reading may include text from magazines, recipes, and directions, in
addition to books. Fourth graders still like to read also.
Please remember the best way to communicate with your child's teacher is through the daily agenda book, e-mail, or separate note. Check with your child's teacher to see what works best. Please make sure your sign your child's agenda daily. You can also use our voicemail
system and leave a message for your child's teacher. Please call the school at (770-975-6655).
Thank you,
4th Grade Teachers
