Media  Center  Policies  &  Procedures

The media center is available for student and teacher use according to instructional needs. Teachers may meet individually or by grade level teams with the media specialist to cooperatively plan media center activities for large and small groups of students according to the students' needs. A lesson will be written documenting the activities designed for the students.

Media center passes will be provided for the teacher to send small groups of students for independent media center activities. The activity centers available to the students will include media skills games, listening stations, and library book exchange.

Students may check out TWO books that will be due TWO weeks from the checkout date. Books may be renewed at that time if the student has not completed reading it.

Teachers may check out books for their classroom collections for TWO weeks. Teachers are encouraged to exchange these books frequently to provide greater circulation of these books.

Magazines for students and teachers may be checked out for TWO DAYS.
