Welcome to the Garrett Middle School website. I encourage you to visit our site to learn more about the culture of our wonderful middle school located in the heart of Austell, Georgia. We are proud to be a school that incorporates Standards Based Instruction, Rituals and Routines, Focused Teaching and Safety Nets to improve the performance of all students. As you learn more about Garrett Middle School, you will discover that our greatest strength is our staff. Our clerical staff, custodial staff, food service staff, bus drivers, administrative team and teachers recognize that we play a special role in each child’s life. We are dedicated to teaching not only the academic subjects but also the virtues of life that produce productive citizens. We maintain the highest commitment to meeting the educational, social, and developmental needs of our children.

The Garrett staff welcomes and appreciates all of the parents, business leaders, and faith leaders that participate in our school programs. Through our Partners in Education and our Partners in Success program, our community stakeholders are providing the support needed to create the best learning environment for our students and the best working environment for our staff.

Through the dedication and hard work of our staff and stakeholders, Garrett Middle School made Adequate Yearly Progress for the past three school years. Our staff and community are very proud of the academic and extracurricular successes of our students. Our teachers are committed to our academic goals to improve students’ skills in reading, mathematics, problem solving and writing in all curriculum areas.

If you are a parent of a child enrolled at Garrett, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher, counselor, grade-level administrator, or myself if there is anything that we can assist you with. If you are considering moving into the area and want to learn more about our school, our counselors can help you by setting up an appointment to have you visit the school.
