After School Program

The After School Program is offered as a service to parents and children.  It operates as an extension of the instructional day for Garrison Mill students and functions under the guidelines established by the Cobb County Board of Education. All children must be registered before attending ASP.  You may obtain a registration form from the school office or from your child's classroom teacher.

There is an annual registration fee of $10.00 per child that is due the first time a child stays.  The ongoing fees are to be pre-paid and are $35 a week or $7.00 a day for each child (fees are subject to change.)  Payment is due the first day of each week that a child attends. There is an ASP drop box in the lobby for payment envelopes. Any account two (2) weeks past due will result in termination from ASP.  Children must be picked up prior to 6 pm.  A one dollar ($1) per minute late charge, per child, is in effect after 6 pm.

The After School Program (ASP) is offered every school day and starts when the children are released from class to go home; including Early Release days.  Time for homework is provided daily with the exception of Friday.

Activities (such as P.E., music, art, games, movies, Drama Club, chess, Foreign Language, etc.) are planned by staff members, and a snack is provided daily.  This is included in your fee.  There are, however, occasions when ASP may plan a special program for your child to participate in.  There may be an additional fee to cover the cost of these programs.

We are happy to offer after school care to our families who need this service. We will continually work to modify and improve our program to meet the needs of our children at Garrison Mill.
