Welcome to Green Acres

 Being chosen as the principal for Green Acres Elementary is a tremendous honor.   It will be my pleasure to work with the students, parents, and community that support Green Acres. 

As your Principal, I promise to be here to promote only the best we have to offer the students.  My commitment to the students, teachers, parents, and community will reflect an open, honest, and caring relationship while maintaining the mission to student achievement.  The experiences I have as a soldier, teacher, and leader have given me a broad base of knowledge from which to make decisions.  I promise that all decisions will be made with compassion, intellect, and “heart” for what’s best for the students at Green Acres Elementary. 

I promise to support you, the staff, by providing the tools we need to be the absolute best we can be.  I promise to listen, be receptive to your ideas, and validate your efforts.  I promise to make each child, each parent, and each teacher feel valued and respected.  Communication is the key; I promise the lines will always be open.  Our mission will be clear at all times.  Student achievement will be held as most important.  We are here to produce “High Achieving Students”.  I promise that as new programs are adopted by the school system and the state, I will work to provide the resources and training to ensure that transitions go smoothly while maintaining quality instruction that promotes “best” practices. 

For the students, I promise to make decisions that are data driven to ensure student learning is nothing short of the best we have to offer.  I promise to provide routine and structure to the school daily.  Instructional time will be held sacred; interruptions during the school day will be avoided at all cost.  I promise to make our school a place where children come to learn and a place they feel special.  I promise students a safe haven by surrounding them with teachers and staff who truly care about them as individuals and work tirelessly to meet their needs. 

For the parents, I promise when children leave Green Acres to attend middle school, they will have had a quality education that ensures their success and academic excellence.  I promise an open door to listen and understand and  will make every attempt to solve problems as they arise.  I promise to ensure that we provide the best academic program we have to offer; and I promise their children will learn in a loving, caring and safe environment.  I promise to show parents that children are our number one priority in everything we do and in every decision that is made. 

For the community, I promise to promote Green Acres in a positive light to continue the excellent reputation the school has maintained over the years.  I promise to support the community and businesses in Cobb in a partnership with our school.  We will work together to meet the challenges ahead.  Therefore, I promise to provide “customer service” both on campus and off campus.  I will encourage the entire staff to do the same.  I am here to uplift, encourage, and inspire each of you in the year ahead.  We know there will be new challenges. With each year come new opportunities.  I promise to always be truthful and reflective in seeking the best solutions to any challenge we face.  I promise I will be here for you to lend a “helping hand.”  I promise to be your biggest cheerleader.  My last promise is this, I promise to make this year at Green Acres one that is guaranteed to be excellent for each of you.
