H.A.V.E.N. Academy is one of the twenty-four programs that comprise the
Georgia Network of Education and
Therapeutic Support. This network serves students with Severe Emotional
and Behavioral Disorders (SEBD) and Autism.
H.A.V.E.N. Academy serves the Cobb, Douglas,
and Marietta City School Systems. There are over twenty-two sites which allows
us to provide a wide variety of service options. The H.A.V.E.N. staff provides
assistance to schools, students and parents in the following areas:

Small classroom settings staffed for
intensive teaching and support.

Teachers have 8-12 students on their
caseload.

Each teacher with over 4 students also has a
professional childcare technician assigned to their room to assist with daily
management and teaching activities.

Additional support services:

Social workers who provide
case management services as well as group and individual crisis counseling.

Psychologist to assist with
testing and treatment plan development.

Nursing services to monitor
medications issues, as well as provide consultation on medical issues.

Crisis management
personnel to assist in the therapeutic management of crisis situations.

Individualized academic
and behavioral planning for students based on their Individualized Education
Program (IEP).

Parent training classes
to assist parents and other caregivers in learning how to effectively work with
the school to ensure maximum treatment success for their child.

Improvement Team: Extensive staff training and data analysis.
