Student Achievement: Twenty-one Schools
Earn Placement In Cobb's Advanced Placement Certified Schools
Program. Eleven high schools have met the required criteria for
inclusion in the District's Advanced Placement Certified Schools
(APCS) Program. The APCS program began in 2004 as a means of making
challenging honors and AP classes accessible to more students
and support high achievement in the course work. Kell was awarded
for the Certification Level.
Governor's Cup: Kell High School is the regional winner of the 2006 Governor's Cup, a challenge that
focuses on raising SAT scores across the state. Kell is a proud
regional winner this year because it showed a significant three-year
average gain in the reading and math SAT scores. Average Most
Recent SAT Scores (Math Plus Reading) in 2004, Kell students scored
967. In 2005, Kell students scored 1023. In 2006, Kell students scored
1029. The average change totals 31. Congratulations to both students
and faculty.
