Cobb County Farm Bureau - Cobb County Farm Bureau will award a total of $7500 in scholarships to two high school seniors who plan to pursue a college degree in agricultural and environmental sciences, family and consumer sciences, or a related agricultural field. The top student will receive a scholarship of $5000 and the runner-up will receive a scholarship of $2500. Students are eligible to submit an application if they, a parent or legal guardian, or a grandparent are a member of Cobb County Farm Bureau as of April 25, 2008. Applicants must plan to enter a unit of the University System of Georgia or Berry College during the 2008-2009 academic year. All applications must be submitted by 4:30pm on Friday, April 25, 2008. Two finalists will be interviewed to determine the winner and runner-up. The final decision will be made on or before May 23, 2008. Applications are available in the guidance office.
Nordstrom Scholarship 2008 FOR CURRENT JUNIORS - Five $10,000 scholarships (paid over four years) will be awarded to students in the Metro Atlanta Area. Eligible high school juniors (class of 2009) must have and maintain a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.7 to 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students must demonstrate financial need and complete the Financial Information Form included in the application. Applications are available in guidance. Deadline is May 31, 2008
Abbott & Fenner
Scholarships Abbott and Fenner are offering a $1000 scholarship to high school juniors
and seniors who will write an essay on one of two topics described on their

BigSun Scholarship The BigSun
Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their
academic pursuits. They are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving
student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which
sport they are participating in. The successful applicant will be a high
school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved

Georgia Engineering Foundation - For over 30 years, The Georgia Engineering Foundation has sponsored a program that awards college scholarships to worth Georgiastudents who are prepareing for a career in engineering or engineering technology. In 2008 about 40 awards will be made available. for an application, visit www.gefinc.org . All scholarships are competetitively awarded based on the student's demonstrated competence in mathematics, science and communication skills, the student's intereset in a career in engineering, financial need, and their school and community involvement. AES Consultants Scholarship is a $500 award on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. . You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Students must submit an essay in answer to one of the two questions that are posted on the website: www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.php. The deadline for entry is September 15, 2008.
Navy ROTC $180,000 Scholarship Opportunity - The NROTC $180,000 Scholarship pays full tuition and fees and provides an allowance for books and monthly stipend of $250 - $400 for 4 years of college. This scholarship is offered to college-bound students who meet the following criteria:

Between ages of 17 and 23
High school junior at minimum, but no higher than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours of college credit
Min SAT scores: 520 Math & 530 Critical Reading

American Chemical Society Scholars Program is awarding approximately 100 scholarships to students interested in chemical sciences (undergraduates, students transferring, and 2-year students intending to pursue degrees in chemical technology. KSU College of Science and Mathematics - The College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University has been awarded a grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to increase the retention and graduation rates of students in one of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. This scholarship is renewable up to four years. Scholarships will average $3,000 per year (per student) Incoming freshman are urged to apply ASAP:
Selection Criteria: Entering freshman; U.S. citizens, nationals, aliens admitted as refugees, permanent resident aliens; full time in a baccalaureate degree program in one of the STEM disciplines at Kennesaw State University (mathematics, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, information technology) as shown in the departmental records; demonstrate academic potential via a cumulative GPA of minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recommendations from teachers, counselors, or advisors may substitute for a lower cumulative GPA, but not lower than 2.8 on the same scale; demonstrate financial need as defined by the U.S. Department of Education. Student must have a FAFSA on file for 2008-09.

Deadline April 13.Georgia Tech Bethel Memorial Scholarships by Chi Psi - A $1000 scholarship is being offered in memory of Brother Stamps Bethel to qualified incoming freshmen men at Georgia Tech. The recipients will be those applicants who best exemplify the ideals of the fraternity intellectually, morally, and socially. Semifinalists will be required to attend an interview at a time and place to be announced. Winners will be announced from the remaining finalists at an awards banquet in August on the GT campus. Applications are available in the guidance office.
