Electa Keil-Cobb County Master Gardener Volunteer

Congratulations to our 5th Grade Junior Master Gardeners presenting the award winning watermelon and pumpkin grown right here at Kemp!! They were entered in the North Georgia Fair and the watermelon won 1st prize, Best of Show and the Youth Prize. It is a Moon and Stars variety watermelon which normally grows to 5-10 lbs. Our watermelon reached 41 lbs.!! The pumpkin is a Cinderella variety and won 1st prize as well. The three students are Sarah Kljucaric, Jared Sells and Aaron Brown.
