special reference books and the Internet to locate

will explore atlases and uncover the mysteries of the Dewey
Decimal System! |

Fifth Grade |

Fifth
Grade students will each produce a
segment for Black History Month in February that will feature a famous African-American
figure. They will complete the background research using a variety of
resources and then compile the information into an interesting and
informative Power Point presentation that will be broadcast on Cougar Cable
News or the Kemp Elementary Electronic Bulletin Board during the month of
February. Students will complete
the research process using books, videos, the Cobb Virtual
Library, and Internet sites. During January, they will
complete their storyboards and create their Black History Month
segment. |
