Scenario

You have been selected to write a children's book about two famous women in history!  Your book will become the second book in a series based on the original story, Amelia and Eleanor Go For a Ride.  You will choose a favorite historical woman to replace Amelia Earhart in the original story.

Read the following book - our inspiration for this project:  Amelia and Eleanor Go For a Ride by Pam Muñoz Ryan.

Now view this video clip in which Pam Muñoz Ryan relates the story behind the story.

#1 Task Definition

What needs to be done?

The Task
You will choose one famous woman that you will substitute for Amelia  in the story Amelia and Eleanor Go For a Ride.  Planned research activities will help you to locate information about your selection and Eleanor Roosevelt.  You will use the information to complete a comparison chart.  Using this chart, you will then create a storyboard for your project.

The Product
You will create a book version of your rewrite of Amelia and Eleanor Go For a Ride.  The final project will be in the form of an electronic book using Power Point software.
