SEPTEMBER 2007
On September 21, 2007, the Kemp Elementary School Foundation held its 5th annual Kemp Kamp-O-Ree! This event is the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser. Over 100 families pitched tents and spent the night in Kemp’s back field. The Kemp Kamp-O-Ree was full of fun, food, and music. Families played tug of war, danced, dunked their teachers in the dunking booth, and enjoyed prize drawings, including a Nintendo Wii!
Through fundraising, the Kemp Foundation is able to provide teacher grants, fund teacher salaries and capital improvements, buy equipment, and pioneer new programs. The Kemp Foundation is currently raising funds to build a track, which would benefit the entire Kemp community.
News from the NA GA State Fair. These moon and stars variety watermelons grown by the kids at Kemp Elementary School won a blue ribbon at the North GA State Fair. Kemp also won a 3rd place Ribbon for our sweet potatoes!
