As part of our music curriculum,
students will be learning to play the soprano recorder in
music class. Students will play recorders for the remainder
of this year and will continue to play through fourth and
fifth grades.

Some helpful practice hints:

Cover
all the holes tightly-leaks cause squeaks!

The
left hand is placed above the right hand.
-
Breathe (don’t blow) air into the mouthpiece.
-
The tongue and teeth are formed as if to speak “doo” for
each pitch.
