Kennesaw Elementary School, located in northwest Cobb County within the city limits of Kennesaw, proudly embraces a rich heritage, having been a vital part of the community since July 30, 1908. First located on Keene Street near the heart of town, the original building was destroyed by fire in 1939. The second facility was constructed soon thereafter on the same site and continued to serve the community’s children in a quaint, small town environment for more than fifty years. In 1991, the present facility, much larger and more contemporary in design, was constructed on twenty acres on Jiles Road. In 1997, a sixteen-classroom addition was built to accommodate new growth. |
